Lovely pub that serves everything from breakfast to dinner and has a great little music venue at the back. Great staff too.

The location was directly next to our hotel where we stayed for 3 days and so The Water Rats was the first place to go when we dropped our bagged at the hotel. We had a really nice lunch and so we came back several times and we weren't disappointed at any time.

Just a great place to go. Great staff, the food was brilliant and they have live music, what's not to like.

Went to The Water Rats for a comedy night last night. It took me an hour to drive there. The comedy room is at the back of the main room with a door separating the two. When I walked into the main room there were three members of staff just chatting and two or three people having dinner. I went up to the door for the comedy night and a red haired girl told me I couldn't come in until 8.45pm. That was in 45 mins time. There was nobody else wanting to get in except me - and I really wanted to as I was supporting my friend who was performing. And before you think I probably wasn't wearing the right clothes or behaving appropriately, there was no issue with the bouncer letting me into the main room. This was just one person ruining another person's evening. I just got in my car and drove back another hour, missing my friend's performance.
