This club has been starved of investment and direction through successive owners. David Lloyd appears to be the same. Plenty of "vision marketing" in an attempt to keep the disillusioned members but no action to fix the existing issues. The gym upstairs is like a sauna with aircon not working, same true in the gents changing room.

Many other much cheaper clubs in the area who get the basics right and don't use smoke and mirror tactics to mislead the members and prospective members. The tennis court booking system is now operated by a robot which puts a red mark next to your name when it decides that you've not turned up to play, irrespective of whether you have or not. It then warns you that you've commited a crime akin to murder and any further red marks against your name will result in you being thrashed with tennis balls from 50 yds. SERIOUSLY, David Lloyds' heavy-handed computerised member relationship system takes away everything that members value, being treated respectfully and feeling valued.

Being a new member I was wary of signing up for a 12 month contact with my partner at such high cost, however after comparing all the gyms and clubs around it is definitely the best. The staff here are absolutely amazing, welcoming, friendly and encouraging. This type service is inviting and encourages you to come back each day. Simply cannot fault the staff. The gym is spacious and well kept, as new to fitness the staff once again find you the right workout and encourages you to make healthy changes. Currently there's a number of things happening around the club; including a jacuzzi and pool being built outside, new restaurant and changing rooms refurbished. So we joined at the perfect time as we're going to get all these new facilities included in our price.

The only down thing for me is that the pool could be looked after a lot better. The bottom of the pull is full of dirt, sand and other small bits. Around the jacuzzi a multiple of times I saw plasters and empty bottles which were left behind for hours while also inside the jacuzzi little stones/sand was at the bottom which simple made me feel uncomfortable. However I'm sure after the jacuzzi gets fixed this issue will be resolved.

Overall I'm very happy, and I'm sure this will be a membership I'll keep for many years.

My home from home! A little pricey but hey! David Lloyds are making sure its worth it :-) New changing rooms and new coffee shop currently being built. Our outdoor jacuzzi will be GORGEOUS when its ready. Want a decent gym with absolutely everything plus friendly and helpful staff? Look no further :-)

Me and my partner joined a few days ago and wow! You get what you pay for with this place and that includes first class customer service and clean, luxurious facilities! This place has a very calm and friendly atmosphere that we can enjoy and relax in and we are very excited about the new developments taking place. The staff are always friendly as soon as you step into the building and before you leave. Also want to give kudos to Umar (hope I'm spelling his name right!) who helped us get started with our memberships, an absolutely lovely guy who's been a big star!
The gym is very spacious and always air conditioned, the pool isn't very deep but deep enough to get your laps in etc. it's hardly ever crowded and there's no kids after 7pm (for those who like a bit of tranquility in the evenings), there's a sauna, steam room & jacuzzi with multiple jets and areas to relax in, the changing rooms are again very spacious and there are multiple places to change and shower.
I've already been recommending this place to people I know so all in all, 10/10 would recommend! :)
