El Portus is the first ever naturist campsite in Spain. It is located on a beautiful bay 10 kilometers west of Cartagena. El Portus is an active member of the Spanish Naturist Federation (FEN) and of the International Naturist Federation (INF).
The local Municipal Museum of Archaeology in Cartagena follows history of Cartagena up until modern times. There are shown lots of the relics found in archaeological sites in the region as the Roman theatre and the ancient Augusteum.
The Santa Maria de Gracia church in Cartagena dates to the early 18th century. It is one of the finest buildings in the town, containing some wonderful sculptures by Salzillo, including the Four Saints.
The Roman Theatre in Cartagena was discovered in 1987. It dates back to the 1st century BC and is one of the most important in Spain along with the theatre in Mérida.
The ancient Augusteum in Cartagena is an interesting Roman monument, named because this was the meeting place for a religious cult inspired by the Emperor Augustus.
