It's quite alright, the tram is very noisy, but it's quite noisy here in general. The local beer is very well drinkable.

We ate at Kohlmann's near the Barfusserplatz, Basel. My husband had a Flammenkuche whilst I had a Sausage and Sauerkraut with pasta. We both had the Black Forest Tart.

Very cosy with an open Pizza oven at the entry that everyone can see, even from the tables via an internal flatscreen. There's not a lot of sunlight but it has a great atmosphere.
They have a couple of vegan options on the menu.

The food was great but not very impressive. Definitely need to try their tapas-like starters and chicken on puff pastry. The bread that they serve at the beginning with the spread was very nice. Service was great and price of food was not bad (not expensive in Basel but very expensive when comparing it with the food in London, which is also expensive to some).
