Not quite what it once was. Sadly disappointing.

Villa Godthem has gone through some changes over the last ten or so years. Now it is again back to at least a resemblance of its former self but still not there. It is fairly expensive and you sadly do not get your money's worth.
The herring appetizer was fine, presented in a somewhat pretentious manner. The classic plank steak is so expensive one expects a small miracle and that is not what is served. It is along with many other things on the menu, fine but way too expensive.
The service I fear was the weakest link. A dirty plate was left on our table while waiters would come and go to our table no less than five times before removing it. The waiter also got our order wrong which was rather odd and unprofessional considering we all but one ordered the same thing.
With such prices, one does expect a level of food and service well above just fine but alas, that is not the case.

Beautiful location, nice terrace facilities, good ambience, not sitting too close to one another, kind personel, fine filter coffee, great place to enjoy a while or rest out. Self service but this is common here.

Beautiful location in Stockholm. Terrific food and attentive staff made a special day with friends even better.
