Sofia's Apartments are a short bus ride out of the bustling city of Chania. It is located jut a couple of kilometers to the west of Chania in the direction of Platanias, Aghia Marina and Kolymbari. Local buses serve Kalamaki every 15 minutes or so and it's easy to get into Chania and all it's delights or go west to the tourist centres along that coastline. The local centre of Kalamaki is improving and the quality of food in the local retaurants/Tavernas has become very good plus there is a very nice beach there although at busy times it is just that busy! This place is quite popular for locals as well as tourists.
Sofia's has recently been refurbished - again. The management have a policy of continual improvement and the latest has been pretty wide ranging. All the doors and windows have been replaced and the pool re-tiled. Some structural work has been done to open up the views from some balconies opening up the vista from those rooms. This is especially welcome as most rooms have a sea view.
All rooms now have free air conditioning, free (and fast) wifi and a flat screen TV. The kitchenette area of the rooms has a fridge, hotplate, kettle, coffee machine and toaster.
The owners live on site and are wonderful friendly people. Nothing is too much trouble and they look after you as if you were family. I have been there so many times now over the years that it is like going home but every guest gets the same treatment - everyone one is special to Voula and her family.
The rooms are kept spotlessly clean and are serviced daily with frequent linen changes. There is also free car parking on site.
I have no problem giving my highest recommendation to Sofia's

Fantastic place for a family stay! Apartments are lovely, a little basic but all you need is there. I would definitely recommend. Lots of taverns, restaurants and shops a short walk distance form hotel. All very high quality and cheap! Thank you Sofia for hosting our family for last couple of weeks ! We will recommend your hotel to our family and friends.
