Not knowing what to expect it was an interesting first experience.
The attending staff gave a thorough walk-through for me as a newbie and made sure I was all set before my time started.
It was clean (I was in pod 5) and had a calming atmosphere. Glad there was a hair dryer in the front washroom and that they had a station for water, tea, and prep items for the float (Q-tips, petroleum jelly to protect scratches, and wax ear plugs).
The changing colour lights in the pod were fun but I was glad to have the option for lights off, I'm not sure if music would have changed up the experience, but would be interested in testing it out (possible option to bring your own music). It took a while to settle but I also found it fun to bounce around a bit. One suggestion I have to newbies is reminding your body to relax without engaging any muscles.

As a somewhat claustrophobic person who loves to make lists and get things done, I was apprehensive about this. However, I absolutely loved it and will be coming back. It calmed my racing mind and as I kept my eyes closed for the entire duration of my float, I didn't feel any claustrophobia.

I did the July Float challenge and really enjoyed it. I really appreciated the challenge as my first time wasn't great - I couldn't relax my neck! But #2 & 3 were fantastic. Meditation on steroids (that's the point right? :) ) Will definitely be back for more.

I was visiting from Toronto, Ontario and it was recommended that I try the Float House Victoria. It was my first time and definitely not my last as it was an amazing experience. If you are able to lay and relax and just feel nothing for the time period allotted it helps with complete focus afterwards. As an athlete and fitness enthusiast I appreciated this hour to just get back into routine.
I was visiting from Toronto, Ontario and it was recommended that I try the Float House Victoria. It was my first time and definitely not my last as it was an amazing experience. If you are able to lay and relax and just feel nothing for the time period allotted it helps with complete focus afterwards. As an athlete and fitness enthusiast I appreciated this hour to just get back into routine.

Quite disappointing facility and left feeling gross. Cleanliness, when you're sharing a bath with hundreds of other people should be a top priority, here it is not. The staff were friendly, hence 2 stars, but the showers always seem to be out of warm water. My cleanliness gripe is related to all 3 of my floats in their July sale. There was hair stuck to the inside of the tub on my first float, kinda gross but not the end of the world, on my next float several days later I was in the same room, and the same hair was exactly in the same place as the first time. The tub itself had not been cleaned for days. On that second float there were small rocks/sand in the bottom of the tub too, so people either arent showering before, or they're tracking debris in because the floors aren't cleaned. I removed the hair from the tub on my second visit. I went back for a third float, the room was cool, water was noticeably cooler than previous floats, there were still wet footprints on the floor from the previous floater, and of course, hair inside the tub. If you can get past the fact that they don't clean regularly or well, it can be a relaxing experience. They offered me an after float for free because of the mess when I talked to them about it on the 3rd float, thanks but no thanks!
