The spa itself was very impressive and nice. High ceilings, lots of art, nice feeling, pretty chandelier. Nice set-up overall, but I had a really awful experience with the actual treatment. I went in for an upper leg waxing. I had a VERY INTENSE skin irritation for two weeks after the waxing. My pores were inflated and red for two weeks, my legs were VERY ITCHY and it felt like they were burning and bruised for about a week and a half after the treatment. I have been waxing my legs for about five years at home and at different spas and I have never had any issues like this. Of course my pores are red for a day or so after waxing but I've never had anything like this. Maybe I was allergic to a product that was used on me, but generally in spas, the aesthetician is supposed to ask about allergies or what I would like put on my body. (I was not asked about anything before having something lathered on my legs. I am concerned about the products used... that may have been the entire issue) I asked for a very experienced waxer, which she was but I felt her pulling at different spots on my skin after she would wax a certain area which was weird and unusually painful. Also when I got on and off the table, the girl stayed in the room with me which felt awkward and I've never had that happen before... Overall it was a nice atmosphere but the service definitely didn't live up to it. Please don't get waxed here! Or at least make sure you know what products are being used on your body! It was a really decent price ($30 for half leg) but I would suggest treating yourself to something more expensive somewhere you'll be taken care of!
