Cozy, dark, intimate. Probably one of Canberra’s best cocktail bars. Excellent cocktails and an enormous whiskey selection.

As you walk in, down the steps you may start thinking you're literally taking the last steps of your life. I felt like I was walking into the opening scene of SAW. Thankfully when you walk from the stairwell in the the bar itself, you'll find yourself somewhere more reminiscent of a French remake of the Untouchables. Great cocktails, nice bar nibbles.

A nice place to have an after work drink. Prices are reasonable for cocktails. Atmosphere is traditional and dim. Only downside is it is quite noisy due to hard floors and walls.

Molly gets the speakeasy bar aesthetic right. It can be found at the bottom of an unmarked staircase, behind heavy doors. The cocktail menu is ever-changing and Molly's whiskey range is second-to-none. A great place to take friends for an after work cocktail, and live jazz on Tuesday nights. Molly's is one of my favourite bars in Canberra do that. They also offer an interesting sounding membership model that might make a good gift for the whiskey loving people in your life.
