Awesome coffee. Great patio seating for conversation or quiet reading. Ordered a mocha and the crema and foam on top was absolutely perfect. So thick and smooth. Best coffee I’ve had in Charleston ... and this is sixth or seventh place I’ve been.

I have to admit to being a regular. We found Kudu when we moved here & were looking for good coffee close to MUSC. We found exactly that. Great coffee they roast themselves, pastries, a really fine craft beer list that changes frequently, a lovely courtyard, occasional live music. They recently started occasionally serving burgers, fries, & wings too. Love Kudu.

This may be the most efficient coffee shop in Charleston. Cool patio to hang out in and generous AC in the summer inside. Staff is super friendly and treats their regulars well. Locally roasted beans too. The staff are very knowledgeable on their beer draft selection. They have some hard to find barrels which sets them apart from similar bar/cafes.

The iced chai was great and the atmosphere was super chill. The employees were having fun and were very friendly. Their outdoor patio area is a sweet spot to do some homework (looks even better at night). A bit pricey, but no more than a place like Starbucks. I wouldn't go every day, but definitely a nice place for a treat
