Kutna Hora + Kolin

Precious Legacy Tours s.r.o.

Approximately 6 hours
Kutna Hora is a beautiful town about an hours drive from Prague, listed in UNESCO's collection of World Heritage Sites. It's important in the history of the region as home to Bohemia's largest silver mine, and consequently the old Royal Mint where Prague Groschen were made - the standard currency for much of Central Europe in the Middle Ages. The tour will show you this as well as St. Barbara's Cathedral overlooking the city, the well-preserved Old Town centre and the Sedlec Ossuary - home to pyramids, a chandelier, a font and more all constructed from thousands of human bones.
As well as Kutna Hora, we can stop at the nearby town of Kolin, once an important Jewish cemetery. As well as its architectural beauty, Kolin is home to one of the oldest Jewish cemeteries in the country and a well-preserved 17th century synagogue.
