Can I give zero stars?? I am so angry and disappointed with flight centre that I will never ever deal with them again and actively discourage my family and friends from doing business with them also. I booked three return flights from Rockhampton to Paris via Dubai in France for myself and one of the same journey for my wife for visiting family and work. I instructed them to utilise Qantas and their partner airlines for our entire journeys to utilise our rewards program. They did book Qantas for flights in Australia and Emirates for the main legs overseas which is a Qantas partner but did not book the overseas legs with a QF booking and instead used the EK booking which goes under the Emirates loyalty program instead. This meant that we did get Qantas points for the dollar value spent but did not receive any status credits which is what you need to keep or go up in levels with the Qantas loyalty program. I inquired with Qantas and it was indeed as simple as flight centre to have made the entire booking with QF ticketing for the whole journey with the exact same itinerary instead of QF and EK and I would have received a massive amount of status credits for these flights. No doubt flight centre were more concerned with receiving their own bonuses from utilising different ticketing arrangements and as a result my wife and I paid the price. Do not use flight centre for your bookings or you will be disappointed. Go directly to the airline carrier, cruise company or tour company. You will not have any nasty surprises and may even save money.
