The fascinating ancient port of Hoi An is a maze of narrow streets, witness to the legacy of the Portuguese, Japanese and Chinese traders who used the port in years gone by. The former capital, Hue, evokes reminders of the imperial past with its Citadel, Purple Forbidden City and impressive royal mausoleums. Day 1: Hue arrival
Warmly welcome to Hue, the former imperial capital of Nguyen dynasty. Pick up at Phubai airport and transfert to hotel. We take our first boat trip on Huong river to Hen fishing village and Dong ba market. Then enjoy traditional massage.Overnight in Hue.
Day 2: Hue - Boat Cruise – Citadel and Royal Tombs (B,L)
We discover the Imperial Citadel, unique Tigers Arena and Eunuques Pagoda . After the vegetarian lunch served by the boudist nuns in Dat Lam pagoda, we visit the elaborate mausoleum of Emperor Minh mang. Then enjoy our boat cruise on the Perfume River back to the town visiting Heavenly lady Thien Mu Pagoda.. Overnight in Hue.
Day 3: Hue - Hoi An (B, L)
Breakfast at hotel. Leave Hue for Hoi An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries whose architecture and relaxed lifestyle has changed little over the years. The scenic route passes through the wonderfully photographic village of Lang Co before climbing over the Pass of Ocean Clouds. Lunch at local restaurant Danang. In the afternoon, walking through the ancient town centre to visit the former merchants’ homes, the old Japanese Covered Bridge, Tanky old house, Phuoc kien chinese assembly hall and Xuan Phat pagoda. Overnight in Hoian.
Day 4: Hoi An - Myson & Handcraft Village (B,L)
Breakfast at hotel. A half day trip to My Son, the religious centre of Champa Kingdom from the 5th century to the 12th century. Visit the museum and the holy site, then take our boat trip to Hoi An. Lunch on board or local restaurant. In the afternoon, visits to potery and vegetable villages. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 5: Hoian Departure (B)
Early visit to the local market where we have breakfast & free time until transfer out to the airport for departure flight.
