I love Cracker Barrel. This visit was better than the last. I was worried about the quality suffering.
I don't like the fact that the turkey and dressing comes with gravy. I asked for no gravy last week and was told that the turkey was cooked in the gravy. 😯😛 If I was working the kitchen, there would be the possibility of the turkey and dressing with NO gravy.
Tonight I had the trout dinner. Everything was delicious, but the biscuits came out so late I took them home to have for breakfast. 😬
This restaurant used to get a four or five star rating from me.

Jason was an incredible server and the rest of the staff was very friendly. Food was great and everything came out in a timely fashion. I will most definitely be coming back to this location if I am ever in the area.

Prompt service. Although,,,, I noticed that everything I ordered was bland in taste. I had to add salt to every single item on my plate. From the chicken fried chicken with white gravey to the hash brown casserole. It was all just under seasoned. I also noticed that my eggs and casserole were Luke warm at best while my chicken was piping hot. So obviously my casserole and eggs sat while my chicken was finishing. Bad time management on the execution of the plate of food. My waitress was prompt , attentive, jovial, and didn't Hover so I was extremely pleased with the service. Over all my experience was delightful. I have 4 starts instead of 5 because of the poor Time plate management, against the bland taste of the food.

Today, I visited another location in Lake City in front of the Quality Inn. Food was good and our server, Elisabeth, was really good and gave us great service. However, the menu changed! The bacon and cheese hamburger with steak fries, now you pay extra for bacon and fries are "home" made.
The portions are slightly different too! Is a pity that everything has to change nowadays! In general this location has a great crew.
