Touchstar Cinemas - Madison Square 12

The theatre looked nice but we didn't get a chance to enjoy it. My spouse started to feel ill after we purchased tickets and snacks and as a result we spent our time in the bathroom. I spoke with management to explain the situation and ask if we could return for a later showing only to be met with a rude manager that just repeated the sentence "once a show begins we cannot issue a refund" as I attempted to further clarify. While I understand the theatre can't control a health problem they could have at least shown an ounce of humanity - and ideally let us go to a different showing of a show that was nowhere near sold out.

I love the loungers here. They lay all the way back and are very comfortable. The place is a little hard to get to right now because of all the construction where Madison Square mall used to be, but it's worth it for the lower ticket prices and the comfortable chairs.

Treated me very fairly even though I had clearly goofed up when purchasing tickets online. I'll be more careful. Thanks for being such professionals. I'm a huge fan of the recliners. So happy you won the right to stay open & operating.

This theatre is extremely nice. It is probably the best in town. The seats are large leather recliners. The concessions are superior. They have usual items... plus fries (with cheese or chili cheese), hot dogs. Pretzel bites, and such more. The other awesome thing is the seats have tape tops you can use to place your food. Any concessions you order that needs to be prepared they will deliver. Mind was blown. They come in during the movie in the dark and creep down to you. It was actually amazing. Great food. Big aisle. I could go on and on.

First time visiting, and I was surprised at how much I liked the theater - not what I expected at all, being a small chain behind a demolished mall. Last time I was in town I had gone to Cinemark Monaco, but I now strongly prefer Touchstar. Chairs recline further than Monaco, and there's little tables at each one. Plenty of space, and as others have said, a very "cozy" feel. Also loved that they deliver food to the seats. I had the chicken fingers and fries, and both items came out quickly, and were still hot and tasted great. Looking forward to visiting again the next time I'm in the area!
