My wife and I can not recommend Jennifer and her partner Katie enough. Jennifer was with us before, during, and after the birth of our child and we owe her a lifetime of gratitude. They know all the tricks to help make mom as comfortable as possible and their calm and comforting demeanor really helped us a ton in the labor suite. Jennifer is also a really great lactation consultant and she helped us to get breastfeeding down. Jennifer and Katie are worth every penny and they are fantastic at what they do.

My wife and I worked with Jennifer throughout our pregnancy and birth of our first child. In short, she is amazing! Knowledgeable, kind, and calming during times of extreme stress. We found ourselves in a mini-crisis situation when our son came three weeks early, and Jennifer was incredibly helpful throughout the process. She guided us in making decisions that, due to circumstances of the pregnancy, were very different than our original birth plan, and she was a huge advocate for us with the hospital staff. We recommend her 100%!

Jennifer was recommended to me by a friend whose birth she attended. They absolutely loved her and I couldn’t agree more. Even my midwife, who had worked with her in the past, told me I had the best doula in the area. I am a single mother so it was very important to have someone I trusted and could count on. During my pregnancy she spent a lot of time getting to know me and my ideas about my birth experience. She listened without judgment and was knowledgeable about everything from pregnancy to after birth. By the time I went into labor I felt completely prepared. Using the techniques she taught me I was able to labor at home for 20 hours before heading to the hospital. In the hospital she was at my side massaging me and making sure that I was comfortable with everything that the midwives, doctors, and nurses were doing. Due to circumstances beyond our control, I ended up needing a C-section. She was with me in the OR and explained everything they were doing. She also made sure that I was able to hold my baby skin-to-skin while they closed my incision, which is not hospital policy but was very important to me. I believe this was due to her outstanding reputation with the doctors and midwives. I feel extremely lucky to have had her at the birth of my daughter and could not imagine having to go through it without her. She is a truly beautiful person.

Jennifer Ivans was recommended to me by one of my midwives and I'm so thrilled that I called her. She met with my husband and I several times before the birth to educate us and show us different techniques to use during labor. My labor was so fast we barely had time to call her in before our daughter was born but Jennifer was even more helpful to me postpartum. She connected me to lots and lots of breastfeeding support which I absolutely needed and I think was crucial to ensure that I would continue to breastfeed even though I wanted to stop at every turn. I'm so glad she was there for us. I would absolutely recommend Jennifer as a Doula. I would also recommend calling her before birth is imminent so you can get all the benefits of her soothing presence! ;)

Working with Jennifer was, no doubt, the best decision we made when preparing for our daughter's birth. We interviewed several doulas but when we met Jennifer - we just knew. Jennifer spent so much personalized time with us to build a relationship and to get ready for our baby. Once I went into labor, Jennifer was there from the beginning until the end of a long, arduous labor. Her presence and expertise made it possible for us to meet our goals and deliver a healthy baby with the knowledge and preparation we would not have otherwise had!
