Excel Taxis

Absolute joke of a company!!! Booked a taxi 3 hours in advance was told "ok thank you that's all booked" only to stand waiting for it and for taxi not to turn up ! So phoned them up to be told we have no taxis in your area??!!!! What the hell when it's already been taken as a booking !! But what's even worse is they couldn't be bothered to let us know!! Thanks Excel taxis for ruining our night or should we call you amateur taxis r us !!!

We got a grey Toyota last night @ around 18.50 from the Devonshire arms last night. We would just like to say what a lovely driver he was and we would like to thank him

Absolutely shocking! Had a taxi booked for 23:20pm as we had a train to catch at 23:38pm. It got to 23:25pm and had no correspondence from xl so I rang and they wernt the least bit concerned, would not recommend. Lousy excuse of a business

Giving up on this firm now. Second serious incident where explanation given about 6.29 train etc, agreed 5.40 pick up. 5.50, no call and driver 15 minutes away, had wrong train time and pick up time and when told this got a 'we record every conversation' reply - which is a bit academic and recording would confirm these details. I'm sure they provide plenty of good service but their batting score is too poor for important travel arrangements.

I phoned Excel taxi's last night and they told me they would be 5-10 minutes, 20 minutes later I phoned to see where it was. They told me 5 minutes away so I said okay no problem. 20 minutes after that I phoned again and they said another 5 minutes to which I was still fine with. Another 20 minutes went by and still no taxi, so I phoned again pretty annoyed. I explained why I was frustrated and they replied with "yes I understand they are just fobbing you off" which is ridiculous. I finally got my taxi after 1 hour and ten minutes stood outside. The driver told me it happens all the time and showed me his list of pick ups available on his phone. Someone had been waiting for 2 hours already for a taxi. Excel is a joke.
