Been using this taxi firm for over 5 years. The staff who answer the phones in the afternoon are really friendly.

Disgusting scruffy driver that was 50 minutes late, missed my doctors appointment, when I complained the staff was rude. What in the hell is happening to the taxi companies it pathetic and not worth it anymore, they are expensive and most of the drivers are foreign that speak no or very little English!

Ordered a taxi tonight we had a baby high chair and a fold up pram (silver cross wayfarer folds flat) we where planning on leaving the high chair because we didn't think it would fit so was pleased when a Zafira turned up this meant we could put the high chair in. Unfortunately as I started to walk towards the car the driver started to wave then proceeded to say he couldn't even fit that in when I went to say it will fold flat he said will send another taxi and drove off in other words he couldn't be arsed to put the seats down. So really grateful for the useless service. we cancelled in the end, I remember why I stopped using A1 now. we have just clicked on the tracker to get the drivers name and it now says the driver could not find us... this is laughable. The driver was Tauseef so if you see this name tell them to swivel and send another driver maybe from another company.

I Don't ever write reviews for anything but I have been waiting so long for this taxi I have nothing else better to do.

Bit of advice, book for about 30 mins before you want the taxi and then it might actually turn up at the time you need it for.

Was very disappointed with service. Last Wednesday I phoned and booked a taxi at five to 4. It was booked under the understanding that a driver would be happy to carry a small dog and therefore I'd have to wait approx 15 minutes for one. The operator I spoke to was very pleasant, took my name and details and even asked for my dogs name. I was very happy with this as most companies don't facilitate dogs in this area. HOWEVER, after 45 minutes are and still no call I telephoned. I was told that I wasn't on their system. I explained that the operator I'd spoken to was a male, so she went and checked his computer. It said on the notes "no show" apparently. I queried whether that meant the driver or me as I had been sat waiting and had received no call back or text. She said she'd book another and it would be 5 minutes. Long story short I phoned another 2 times, it was a different lady this time and by quarter to 6!!! There was still no taxi. On this particular phone call the lady said that there were no dog carriers available and that I shouldn't have been told there was. So an hour and 45 minutes later I found this out. I said I wish you could have told me this sooner. There was NO apology and I was left in tears and my evening had been ruined. I have not been able to access public transport recently and so this was my only way to get to visit my parents. I would not recommend this company and shall not ever use them again. I'm pretty disgusted that there was no contact, explanation much sooner of their error and no apology. Not good service or reliable, which is a concern for more vulnerable users of taxi services.
