My budgie (Billy) was seriously injured by the other budgie. His crop was perforated and his wing was injured. The team were fantastic. They gave him intensive care and then operated to close the hole. They saved his life and he is now doing much better.
Thank you for being great clinicians but even more so, for being so caring.

I chosen this place because is near to my house and I don't regret. They treated my kitten ginger very well . I came there for the first and yesterday for the second vacination. They looked after her very well. They are very humans with the animal they have passion. And then about the price is very moderate. High recommendation

Our rabbit Rosey was bought into the surgery suffering with an unknown condition... she had stopped eating, stopped moving properly and was clearly unwell... we feared losing her.

She was immediately taken from us and given oxygen, there was clear concern from the vets who responded promptly, professional and with compassion.

A series of tests and examinations followed, we were allowed to visit Rosey to keep her spirits up, and the vets always took time to talk to us, answer our questions and comfort us. The team understood why we were scared, you treated us so well, in the midst of our fear you responded with empathy, you not only helped Rosey, you helped us too.

Fast forward a few days and Rosey has been cleared, she's returned home and is eating and happy... and it is all down to the wonderful team at Beaumont.

Nadine, Jo and all the exotics team are heroes to us, everyone we came across was caring, you could tell you were treating Rosey with the same love you would give your own pet... you, like us, understand pets are part of the family.

The fact is that Rosey survived because of the care, love and treatment you provided.

I know vets work long hours, for not great money, I know you do what you do for the love of the animals you treat, and it truly shows... you saved our animal and you helped us at the same time.

We have nothing but admiration and respect for you all, you are heroes. ❤️🐇

Thank God for Dr Emer. She's such a wonderful and lovely person who has really made me feel at ease with her care of my beloved pet. She's very focused and truly tries to find out exactly what's wrong which is appreciated sooooooooo much. Thank you! Love from Shireen & Blu

Update:
As promised in the hospitals response below, I was called the following day and Alfie's carrier had been found.
Thank you.

On Tuesday 21'st April we brought our Gerbil Alfie to the hospital as he was incredibly sick. We've kept gerbils for many years, so knew his chances were slim but wanted to give him the best chance possible.
After 24 hours of what I have no doubt was the best care he could have had, we sadly had to let him go.

I called the Animal hospital on the Friday, to ask if they needed me to settle the bill on the phone, or if it could wait until the following Monday when I would be in to collect Alfies pet carrier. They said paying in person the following week was fine, and noted that I would be coming in.

I made the 45 minute train journey to the hospital on the Monday and paid the bill, however when the receptionist went to get the carrier it was the wrong one. I spent a good 15 minutes with her trying to Google an image of it before being told she would keep looking and call me.

I got home and called to see if she had found anything, no luck, but the receptionist was going to send an email around to all staff to look. I had an identical carrier at home so I emailed in a photo to help the search.

I have since made two phone called and been promised calls back - nothing. I have also sent two emails without any response at all.

Being out of pocket for the price of the carrier is not the end of the world. However I feel like we are being completely ignored now, and what has happened highlights a key issue with how small animals are booked in & their belongings tracked.
Alfie meant the world to us. The loss of his personal carrier, and the way they have ignored us, has left us feeling that he was very insignificant to the hospital.

For the record although gerbils are tiny, our bill to the hospital was £255.99. We'd also spent £90 for initial emergency care at our local vet. We'd spend all the money we have to help our pets, but I wanted to highlight this so people who don't own small animals know that care costs can be in the same range as for larger animals.

I feel bad leaving such a low score, I'm sure Alfies veterinary care was five star, but I have to be honest about our experience. I'm hoping this will encourage someone in the hospital management to get in touch and have the opportunity to resolve this issue.
