A fantastic space in a great location.

A superb gallery space, at the top of an elegant but unostentatious early Victorian mansion, near the new White Cube in fashionable Bermondsey.
You People: Current Exhibition
First there was the Boyle Family and now it's the Fairman Family but with a twist. The Boyles collaborated, the Fairmans worked independently and only brought the work together as part of the curating process. Bold? Foolhardy? Well, it works! "You People" is a celebration of the variety of creative talents across three generations of the family - Sheila Fairman and her children, Sean, Rebecca, Jonathan and Robert and grandchildren, Jackson and Georgia. The show revolves around the installation "The Gathering" by Sheila Fairman; a table set for a family meal, with mirrored images and linear elements referencing Velazquez' Las Meninas and Picasso's cubist gymnastics.  Artist, Sean Fairman's powerful paintings dominate the main gallery but leave enough creative space for gallerist, Rebecca Fairman's wall-hung cameos, and for brother Jonathan's photographs. Robert's mirror-foil installation provides a disturbing accompaniment for visitors as they mount the elegant elliptical staircase to the top floor gallery. Sculptures occupy the main gallery floor space, with Jackson's Dante-inspired tableaux and Georgia's sculpted marzipan pieces that play with detail and scale.

Unique, intriguing and well worth a visit.
