The entrance (sliding glass doors) is always dirty, that's not how you welcome your clients and expect them to pay so much money for the membership. Also, as you go up the stairs, all the glass on the side needs a good clean too. Very poor cleaning standards. I wonder where else the management is saving the cost, as the hygiene is definitely not the number one priority in that gym.

I think Nuffield is the worse gym ever. One towel per person and the floors have never been so dirty.. tonight fire alarm went on and the staff was running around without knowing what to say to customers. Alarms eventually went off at 9.55 and I begged for a shower as I was really sweating. They didn't let me take one.
And I recently received a letter to inform me of a price increase on my membership.
I loved it when it was Virgin.

Very disappointed with the service provided by this gym. I would expect a much better quality of service given the price of membership. Some great instructors but unfortunately the minority let the gym now. Also the admin staff are poor at communication and this is unacceptable.

After three plus years of happy membership at this gym when it was under Virgin Active, I am completely disappointed with the level of service and professionalism at this gym now. It has always been a family friendly gym, and I have always been able to bring my child along free of charge. I brought her with me today, and was informed quite abruptly by three members of staff that this was not acceptable any more and that it would be a chargeable service from now. This was not communicated prior, and would have been understandable if it was.The poor manner in which I was dealt with I find totally UNACCEPTABLE. The price in which we pay as a member does not reflect the service we receive.

Furthermore, changes like only allowing customers one towel is completely absurd and unhygienic. First off, how are female members expected to dry their hair and skin with one small sized towel, and use this same towel during a workout.

I would recommend looking elsewhere for a gym.

Before Nuffield took over this gym it was busy and had atmosphere. Since the takeover Nuffield have managed to suck the life out of it. I do find the staff pleasant and friendly but they have introduced a one towel policy under the guise of being friendly to the environment. We know it`s just to reduce their laundry costs. The towel they give you is to small to dry yourself properly after showering. I know long term members who have left the club after Nuffield`s refusal to give them two towels. It`s ridiculous they would let that happen and is a talking point between members on the gym floor.

If Nuffield is so concerned about the environment they`d stop selling meat products in their cafes but they won`t because they don`t.

Nuffield be careful, you`ll have a reduced laundry bill but only because you won`t have any members.
