Virgin Active Strand

Virgin Active has moved away from being a premium operator and no longer has people supervising the gym floor and workout programs have been discontinued. I can't see what the difference is between this in service terms and a budget gym?

It's what it said on the tin. I have been other branch of Virgin active and this one is a good fate for a four star as it can be hectic during the pick hours which is not ideal for those who wants to train hard and leave as machine will not be available

This is my home gym so I visit it regularly. The staff are generally really helpful and the classes are great!

A truly exceptional health club. I really don't want to give it 5 stars as it's not too busy.... and that's fine with me... BUT it really is a great place to work out, chill out, swim, or even just have a relaxed coffee and a read of the papers.

Really disappointed! went there for Grid class on Monday at lunch time. I booked the class in advance and was there on time. The class was cancelled because the instructor was late! Obviously no communication sent in advance, only a member of staff letting us know 5 min after the start time! with the price we are paying, is it not possible to have plan B when an instructor can not make it? or at least make sure 15min in advance that the instructor is in the club already?? I feel that you guys don't realise that people are time poor and make huge effort to be able yo attend a class on time specifically at lunch time in week days! I never saw this kind of treatment to customers even in "basic" gym clubs!
