Good room rate, great location and the staff were as helpful as possible.

We were at this hotel last week and we were SO unsatisfied. You do not get what you pay for to say the least. The room was so extremely small and half the time our room key would not work. The manager was never available although every employee claimed the manager was coming in "next shift." The hotel sold us tickets to the City Tour London hop on hop off bus and never mentioned that it is the LEAST used tour and only had 3 buses. Because of this, we searched for the bus for 4 hours before talking to a new tour guide person that said that because they sold us vouchers, we would be able to get a refund without a doubt. Well the hotel was absolutely rude and refused to even discuss a refund. If you are going to stay here (which again, we absolutely do NOT recommend) DO NOT buy these tickets. Use "The Original Tour Bus" and buy the tickets somewhere other than the hotel.
Location is good here, but I advise to stay at a different hotel and don't go to this one. NOT WHAT YOU PAY FOR and the employees were absolutely rude.
Don't let this scare you away from London however because it is an absolutely beautiful city.

You get what you pay for. Good fittings and clean. Small rooms. Breakfast basic. Close to Earls Court tube station. Bags can be left in Luggage room for a while on day of departure.

Definitely would NOT recommend this hotel. The hotel manager was extremely rude. We had a family emergency as my father was suffering from a serious illness and so we asked if we could cancel our reservation. The hotel manager responded with 'we need proof that he is actually ill and even then it's not a good enough reason to cancel so we could only re-arrange the date.' We felt that response was disgusting and expressed how upset we were with it but she refused to refund any of our money. So we were forced to travel down to London and we wished we hadn't. The rooms were extremely small and dated, the TV wouldn't work, the breakfast was rubbish and to top it off we were woken up by the fire alarm at 1am. This ended up being a false alarm but the hotel manager didn't know how to turn the alarm off which we found astonishing. Therefore, all of the guests had to wait in the hotel lobby for the fire brigade to arrive, at 1:30am. Awful hotel!

City Continental is a very affordable option. The positives are that it is situated in a great quiet and clean area. Very close to Earl's Court station and has plenty of nearby shops. The cons are that the rooms are small and a little dated. However, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Best part of the stay was the complimentary breakfast!
