Waited until a few hours before we were due to turn up to tell me that they were full and couldn't honour my booking. They offered me a free refund as if they were doing me a favour. Very unimpressed. Won't bother with Best Western again.

It seems it's a habit in the group of hotels owned by this owner to relocate people around different hotels of the group under the excuse of maintenance problems. Furthermore, the first night I was put in a room in the basement just slightly larger than the bed and with something it would be a joke to call a window: I even wonder if this could really be classified a 4-star hotel.

I stayed in the new renovated rooms on the 5th floor. Superp room quality and good service!

SHAFTED at the Shaftsbury Best Western . I show up at the hotel with confirmation number and they still can't find me! They make me wait 45+ minutes in the lobby while they figure out what to do to me. They finally walk me to a completely different hotel DOWN THE ROAD cause obviously they overbooked even with confirmation numbers. They try to make up for it for offering free breakfast. They wouldn't budge on anything else. Unbelievable..Terrible Terrible

Surprisingly unfriendly staff.

Rooms (had superior) very small, but OK furnished and OK cleaned - except the day they forgot about cleaning all together. Windows could not be opened.

OK location.

Extraordinarily bad service in restaurant. We were the only guest, but this didn't mean quick service - quite the contrary.

Will never go here again.
