They have a good variety of beers, from ale to Pils to IPA.

Two bars in two rooms, while the bar in the back room serves only a subset of the beer brands.

They have a nice beer garden in the backyard where smoking is permitted.

They have a good food menu, mostly burgers but also traditional fish and chips.

Unfortunately, two girls of my group didn't feel well after having dinner. I wouldn't overrate it if this only happened to us.

Hidden off the main road, good chilled out vibe. It's a lot bigger inside and they have a 'garden room' which is half inside half outside. Good choice a draught beers and decent food.

Large pub with a good selection of real ales and lagers. Excellent Sunday roasts. Can get very busy but the staff handle it well and most times you can still manage to get a table after a short wait

Went to the water post for a friends leaving drinks and they'd hired the back room outside. Great area, the food was incredible and our barman Sean was the best ever - really creating a great party zone for us, great music and going above and beyond his job. Thank you so much Sean!

I celebrated my birthday at the Water Poet. I also live locally so go there for drinks occasionally. We had quite a big group of people and I was really impressed with the speed and quality of the service - especially the ginger waiter who was taking care of our table (but all staff was equally really great). We originally had reserved the covered table and I really appreciate that they accommodated us in the outside - it really made all the difference.
