Hôtel Campanile Leicester

Decent location just outside the city centre on the ring road. One of the biggest pluses of the Campanile Leicester is the free secure parking at no extra cost. This is a pretty basic hotel, as you would expect from the price, but it always clean with friendly staff. I have stayed here numerous times over the years and never had a bad experience.

Great location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bathroom needs updating. Will stay there again. Room was on car park side so quieter than the road side.

The room was dirty. Beds we so thin could feel the mattress springs. Blankets were so thin it was cold. Pillows were dirty with strains on them without pillow case covers. Bathrooms was dirty we could not even shower the next morning because of the state of the bathrooms. Floor was sticky and dirty like night club floors. Overall the room was awful. I will never book it again and I will never recommend it.

It was probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The sink was blocked and had previous person's stubble in it, the bed was small and uncomfortable, the toilet paper was cheapest on the market and believe it or not there was only 1 plug socket in the room. I would not recommend this hotel. On the positive note the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely and clean. Very hot. If you open the window it's too noisy because of the road. A pleasant one night stay. Needs air conditioning and would be perfect for the price. Beds were comfortable and clean. Bathroom was clean but no bath towels only small hand towels in ours. Road very busy and seemed to be popular with contractors with two car parking spaces taken with a lot of white vans. Found it very hard to find a parking space. Very boisterous workmen but friendly atmosphere. Bar was not attended by staff so had to wait for a drink. No seats as they were all taken by contractors. Would not recommend to visitors for the university. English seems to be a second language but passable. Very friendly staff though.
