Right on Dover seafront. Fantastic views. Outside seating. Expensive

Met friends for coffee in a lovely relaxed lounge overlooking the beach. Friendly staff and good coffee.

Stayed on room 423 for one night.
Room cold. Even when radiator turned up full the room was barely warm enough.
No wi-fi - was given the option of changing rooms, but for one night hardly seemed worth changing.
Television seemed to have come from the last century.
Only 4 teabags!
Bread fast very good, staff great.
The Premier Inn next time for us.

Dover Marina Hotel & Spa might very well be the best hotel in Dover. We thought that's rather bad news for Dover.

For over £100 for a double bed room, we got a claustrophobic room on the 4th floor with seaview as promised. We could also see, but not reach, the empty plastic bottles in the gutter which rattled through the night. Our friend's room next doors had wall panels visibly bulging from the wind outside.
The shower barely managed to deliver water, and the single towel hook provided was on the door and at the furthest possible distance from shower or sink, with a shelf for your toothbrush above the toilet.

We were charged an extra £14 for breakfast buffet with bland and lukewarm scrambled eggs, dried out black pudding, factory-made and undercooked hash browns and remains of baked beans can labels in said baked beans.

We liked that staff was very friendly and we had a unique experience. Unique in the sense that we certainly don't plan on a return visit.

Lovely evening spent with friends. There is an a la carte menu and a set menu. Set is what we chose, three courses£18 and a 10%service charge added. Food was both beautifully cooked and presented. Portions seem to have been gauged perfectly so that three courses are totally manageable without feeling over full (they look small) Waiting staff were attentive without being intrusive. My only criticism was the positioning of tables for two. In my opinion you were sitting with your back to the main room and almost facing a wall. Location is as the name suggests, Waterfront. Just across the main road from the promenade and facing the water. Before we left we booked again.
