Great place to explore with lots to see and do. Fantastic building. Informative & Interesting place to visit... with a great playground for the kiddies. There is also a nice cafe here where they serve a good selection in a friendly environment. The staff are happy to help with orders and drinks etc. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

No longer a science museum, it's an over-optimistic under-maintained child's play area. It's hard to find any actual learning taking place any more, thanks to the general dumbing-down of science museums across the country. The exhibits get more and more broken every time I've been, and they don't seem to have the money to fix them. The 'real' museum downstairs with the industrial revolution machines is fantastic, but is overlooked by the play area upstairs.

Great place out for a halfday with the kids. Plenty to see and do. Great collection of interesting things relating to Birmingham and its past industrial history. Prices are reasonable in this day and age. Birmingham seems to be benefiting from all the new development locally around millennium point. If you are stuck for a place go on a rainy day I would recommend the thinktank for families and anyone interested in history and science and technology. Planetarium is okay too.

Really good place to visit. Perfect for kids with an enquiring mind but also enough to keep their parents entertained. Well laid out into themes with activities for each theme. Some pretty impressive exhibits. Plenty of parking over the road.

Nice place for children til age 12. Lots to learn and play. Not suitable for toddlers and adults. Planetarium is basic not for adults. Food court / cafe is good. Overall the place is good with staff helping and courteous. Good things is that they sell actual 65 million year old fossils fish, shells, shark tooth and Dino poop. Good for collectors.
