Great hidden gem in central Birmingham. The pub is underground and full of character. I wasn't there for long but I'd definitely make the effort to go back next time I visit.

If you're after a lovely cosy hideaway to have a drink or something to eat, right in the heart of Birmingham city centre, look no further. Located in the basement of the lovely MacDonald hotel seconds from New Street, this little gem is fantastic.

Absolutely wonderful place. Lovely aesthetic, great music, and very friendly staff. A bit pricey but very nice all the same and space for a couple of people or a large party.

What a fabulous bar!
Although this is a touch of the beaten track, it is a remarkably busy bar.
Certainly if you didn't know it was there you wouldn't come across it.
With its deep level setting & quirky interesting design, this is a place that really captures the imagination.

From porcelain busts to suits of armour & renaissance style images& other quirky items of decor, it is like drinking in an establishment from the 12th century.

With a good selection of traditional 'pub grub' & a few dishes for the slightly more discerning customer - plus a healthy wine & gin list - there is something for everyone's taste.

Go & visit, you'll not be disappointed.

This place is a new discovery for me and I've been going into the City Centre for many years. It's such a quaint little haven in the middle of the bustling busy city. The interior decor does not disappoint, offering so much to peruse whilst you enjoy a variety of food or drink. A very relaxing and classy feel to this little haven.
