Very regrettable experience! After having processed four (4) Japanese multiple entry visas, I realized that I should have explored other options for my visa processing. I was charged Php1,200 for regular tourist visa and another Php500 for multiple entry visa fee charge. My friends had theirs processed also by HIS Travel Picadilly branch (3-4 blocks away from Serendra branch) and were not charged the extra Php500 multiple entry visa fee. In fact, they got theirs at Php900 only! When I asked the branch manager (Randolph) what the additional Php500 was for, given that the Japanese Embassy does not charge extra fee and neither do they incur additional costs for filing such, the only answer I got is that there's an additional form (which I and not they, filled out). the additional form cost Php500?! Frankly, Php500 is not much money and I won't get poor out of that extra amount, but it's the feeling of being shortchanged with the additional fee that sucks, especially if you are told that it's all for an extra piece of paper. If you don't want to feel duped or at the very least unfairly charged, you might as well apply thru the other accredited agencies such as Reli Tours. At least, they charge a uniform fee across branches.

I am very disappointed with the planning of my trip. I ordered a package tour to Osaka which included a Rail Pass from this HIS branch in BGC. I went to the branch to pick up the paperwork at the travel agency. Everything seemed to be in order. The agent and I spent the whole afternoon going over every DETAIL of my itinerary which I had to ask for. I asked if we were going to be picked up from our hotel to the meeting place for our tours (which was another hotel) and the agent said yes which was also stated in our itinerary that we would be picked up from our hotel. I even had to ask for copies of the train schedules which would be in conjunction with our arrival and departure times.
I asked the agent to double check and triple check the information and the agent said " I did" and kept saying he / she was sure.
Upon arrival in Osaka, everything was good.....Rail Pass, Hotel Check in...... Till the next morning
We were waiting in the lobby at 6:50am since our itinerary says "Pick service from hotels to meeting hotel 7:00am-7:35am". It was 7:15am and no one was there to meet us. Me being an owner of a Travel Agency and a Travel Agent for many many years decided to go on our own to the other hotel where everyone meets. A soon as we arrived at the hotel where everyone meets, the tour guide was a bit upset asking us "Why were you late"? "We almost left you"... The I explained to the guide we were waiting for someone to pick us up at our hotel since it was printed on our itinerary. The tour guide asked if she can make a copy and send it to their office. After a few hours, the agent came to me and said their office contacted my travel agency (HIS Travel) and our travel agency said "Sorry".
Sorry??? What if I wasn't an experienced travel agent and didn't know what to do and we missed our tour??? Sorry??? Our trip would have been ruined. I even gave some tips and pointers to the travel agent at H.I.S. Travel and said "Put yourself in the passengers place and assume you don't know anything about the tour or place. Clients put their trust in us (travel agents) to give all the information necessary for a smooth and flawless trip. That is why they are paying us". I asked the agent how long has she been in the business and she said 4 months.
I don't think you should let an inexperienced travel agent handle international travel or even domestic travel without a veteran travel agent overseeing the itinerary and schedule. This could have been a nightmare or worse.
There was also a mistake with our other hotel. Our scheduled return flight was at 1:30am. ! had asked for a total of 6 nights. The agent said " I got you 5 nights instead of 6 nights since you are leaving at 1:30am so you are going to the airport the night before".
When we checked in at our other hotel they said we had 2 nights. This is another instance where I had asked the agent to double check and triple check everything even though she knew the information.
Bottom line..... Make sure that your trip is not practiced on by an inexperienced travel agent or you might experience a nightmare or worse.

Happy and Safe Travels......
