I organized a birthday party there. They have been so helpful. For every aspects the new boss had somebody at hand, the chef went with me through the menu, they wouldn't let me go without tasting the wines and introduced me to "our" personal waiter for that night.
Once it became clear it would be pouring rain that night they had already re organized the seating and placed the whole party indoors but with a huge windowpane to open and sit halfways outside anyways.
The Italian food was great and the night too.
I m returning there since.
When the sun is shining you'd place yourself outside and let your kids play in the Park with no traffic between them and you

Great place with good food, drinks, atmosphere and location! We have stopped by many times during past visits to Berlin for drinks. Tonight was my first time at Montivideo for dinner. I had the linguini with veggies and shrimp--it was very tasty and the veggies were not overdone. My husband had the fleischpfanne (meat platter of beef, you can choose beef, pork or chicken) with fries. The fleischpfanne arrives on a sizzling hot plate! The Riesling wine was good too, and they have Lübzer beer on tap. We sat outside this time. No smokers near by, so it was a very good way to spend the longest night of the year! The location is wonderful! It is right on Victoria Luisa Platz. You can sit outside and watch the fountain and others enjoying themselves in the square. Very nice! We topped off the evening with a short walk for icecream at Victoria Ice in one of the streets off the square. The outside seating shuts down at 10:00 PM, but not to worry, the inside is very cozy.
