This place is awesome if you are a cinema an tv geek. They have a library specialized in cinema and the staff is very very friendly.

One of Montreal's under appreciated gems. They dig up some incredibly obscure stuff that also happens to be good. Best to learn some French, but they also have lots of English language films and sometimes English subtitles. Silent movies with an accompanying pianist. Just a great place. The ongoing exhibitions are fun too.
