Is a lovely view of the river. Was breezy outside. Service was slower than anticipated. Had to remind about a missing meal. Coffee was nice but lukewarm.

Service seriously needs major attention. Staff are young, untrained and non attentive. Waited far too long for order to be taken. Had to go find our own side plates for our shared starter. Had to go get a top up water as could not get staff attention and they did not check it at all during the night. Food was average or at least my meal was..prawn linguini. Floated in a pool of liquid stock? Very disappointing for hotel quality restaurant. As a local who frequents for after work catch up drinks and nibbles I will definitely won't be eating there again and most likely change our after work catch up venue! Train your staff and chef or replace them!

Great location friendly staff bit they need to be taught the basic of table service and could be more attentive. The food was okay but could be better. Give it a try as it has real potential.

Seriously, if you enjoy dining out for the experience of being served as well as enjoying the food, The Point is not for you. In hindsight, it is no surprise whatsoever that we could get a table for 5 on relative short notice when we couldn't get one anywhere else in Ballina. On the plus side the food itself was quite good, but the service from start to finish was atrocious. When I say atrocious, I mean non existent. Possibly the worst I have ever experienced in a "decent" restaurant. I'm not trying to pick on them personally or anything, I just don't think any of them have been trained in what they are supposed to be doing. It's no wonder the place was nearly empty. If you are looking for a nice dining experience, I would definitely suggest you look elsewhere. We are local, but even if you are passing through, if you can't get in anywhere else, try the RSL. The food there is surprisingly good, and at least you won't be paying a premium for non existent service. We will not be back.

Went for breakfast and found this place to be, at best, cafe quality. For a restaurant boasting to be the "regions most versatile " they massively underdelivered. The dairy free option of the toasted pistachio and sour cherry granola with mango and berries turned out to be just a pile of granola with some sliced strawberries on top and a small tumbler of coconut water. No pistachios or cherries or mango. For the same price. Coffee was average and service was ok but not great. (We had to ask twice for a spoon when they brought breakfast out). They also claim to do room service for the adjoining Ramada Hotel but when we called down we were informed we had an old menu and would need to go down to order. (What's the point in room service?)
Nice location and not bad set up, the dinner menu might have more bang for its considerable buck but we won't be back to try it.
