I enjoyed my visit here despite getting my first beer in a plastic glass - I assume she thought we were sitting outside. It can also take some time to decide what to have from the single screen display above the bar. However, two excellent beers later and I love the place.

It is a nice place. But if you non-smoking person it is not for you. As costumers and staff use electronic cigarettes/vipers inside. 🙁

First you must go through nearly a back door and then along a tunnel to get to this off the beaten track bar.
The beer selection is extensive with local craft beers. The food stays simple and generous.

Fantastic. Awesome beer selection, beautiful setting on the river, outside patio, five tables that away 6 or so each. In old railroad tunnel, old stone arched ceilings. Three separate tunnels, all beautifully, and historically appropriately done. Kitchen closed now for construction, but still 5 stars for all else. Imagine the food is as good as the beer, and setting! Very beer knowledgeable staff.
