There are a number of good view points along the sand gravel roads that cover the centre of Samui.....It's quite a maze... some lead somewhere some don't! Not well marked. Some sections can be very dangerous..never travel without a buddy!
The 4 wheel drive Safari Truck companies stop at these view points and other points of interest en route ... Probably the safest way to go...
Roads are not good for cars... if one tries on motorbike, use extreme caution as road conditions vary a lot during the year. ...They are not graded often...Dry sandy areas can be more slippery than when it's wet. Some areas have concrete but most don't.
On top of Samui, there are many farms growing all kinds of things, from Rubber trees to Durian, Banana and coconut etc..Lots of jungle too !
Carry a jacket in the hills, it can be much cooler than at seas level!
Natives are friendly...!!
