Absolutely love this place.

Definitely the best new kaiseki restaurant in the world. It serves the best rice in the world. Chef Zaiyu San is very talented and he has excellent leadership to bring the whole team to a top level of providing world class dining experience. It's not about serious dining but the atmosphere provided by every staff is very warm. You feel that every staff has potential to grow under the leadership of Zaiyu San. The food was marvellous. We visited DEN twice and we gonna visit it the third time. A must-go-to restaurant in the world. It's my best dining experience I've ever had in its old shop which was smaller and more intimate than its new shop.

The talented chef and his team at Den serve an 8 course menu at a large communal table. The food is contemporary japanese - innovative, playful and delicious. There are a few signature dishes: foie gras sandwich with japanese plum, a composed salad made of fresh local vegetables and leaves, and the dentucky fried chicken. Everything was outstanding on our visit. The staff are friendly and informative, making the whole experience relaxed and fun. Den has a distinct personality that expresses the joy and creativity of its owners. Highly recommended!

Creative cuisine doesn't do this place justice, the intricacy of the detail and effort put into each dish was astounding. Staff we very welcoming and the entire atmosphere was warm. The owner also has an adorable doggo poochie. Wondrous food and staff made for an amazing night that I lack the skills to describe.

A must do experience in Japan. Chef Zaiyu and team are welcoming and take a lot of joy in their work. The food is a mix of tradition and modern surprises, full of flavour. The portions are on the small side, however it didn't detract from our time at Den.
