Retro is an awesome bistro just next to the Chiesa della Santa Maria Assunta. We had the red lentil soup with some bread. Coming in with an incredible hunger, we thought we would need to split one of their local dishes as a secondo. The manager said to take our time and let her know if we felt ready for a second course. The soups arrived and they were absolutely delicious. In the end, we wanted a secondo, but the soup was so filling we had to forego it. That'll be for the next time.

I have been here twice. The first time we sat for 30 minutes before being served some admittedly rather nice juices. The second time, however, was a joke. We went for a pre-lunch coffee and my girlfriend, who speaks Italian well, addressed the waitress in Italian but was spoken back to in curt English. She told us that it was too late for us to have coffee outside, despite the fact it was not yet 12:30, the time that the menu stated that you must order food. We left as we did not feel welcome.
