If there is a more perfect bargain bookstore anywhere in Ireland, please tell me. Chapters has it all, great layout, with the emphasis on the books, not the peripherals, unbelievable selection, sorted by genre, huge amount of bargain books (quality stuff, not joblot remainders), great staff, friendly and helpful, excellent help in searching for that rare treasure. If you love books, this is nirvana.

Guy on info desk today (presume manager) has a serious superiority complex and is just rude, we get it dude you like procedures. I only went to buy this book in there to support local business. Back to buying online.

Great bookshop with a huge selection of new and used books. Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Could easily spend at least an hour browsing here

I love this book store. Upstairs is dedicated entirely to second hand books. It's set out in genres and has a good horror section that is not mixed with Sci Fi and Fantasy which is really useful. I am also a big fan of their translated fiction shelves which are wide and varied.
However, you pay for second hand books downstairs where they sell their new copies at often highly discounted rates. So have a quick look at their shelves downstairs before purchasing your second hand copies. Sometimes a new copy is the same price or cheaper!

Chapters takes insomma so many second hand books you usually have to make an appointment for more than 40-50 books. I took a cheeky chance & arrived in with 55. Fantastic range and amount of books. Dublin's best bookshop!
