There are some places, which do not impress you in any field, be it food,service, ambience or anything else, nothing distinctive or extra ordinary about them.
But still you see them year after year, fixed at their spot, luring a good number of customers and doing a unbelievably good business. Not even this, they even have their own loyal customers, who keep coming back here year after year.
Maybe the economical food they serve or the perfect location that they boast of, but certainly the food and taste is not the reason for sure.
Yesterday I went to meet a few of my old acquaintance for lunch, and the venue they asked me to reach was Pushpak Restaurant, it almost took me straight 10 seconds to memorise where have I heard of this name, but finally I was able to recollect.
Although I been to this place once or twice, but not in a last few years, that I could remember off.
Finally I got here, the ambiance is nothing to describe, they have a semi-open or is it semi-closed area for dining.
The waiter provided the menu, and was expecting the order to be placed straight away, that is how these places work, everyone comes predecided with their ordwr in mind.
I already kind of disliked the place so just played safe by ordering a masala dosa, other things on the table included, chole bhatura, pav bhaji and also some extremely thick shakes, while I settled for a soft drink.
I wont be any elaborative, the dosa was bad, straight away, soggy crust, bland sambhar and very thin almlat dripping kind of chutney, be it any good place, I would have given the manager some good dose of words, but here I simply chose to ignore.
Did not felt like trying those exetremely thick bhaturas, so no idea, yes the chole were extremely spicy (I assume) as my friend had a sip of his shake after every bite.
I did tried a bit of pav bhaji, which was just fine by every mean, nothing great about it.
The place could be ignored anytime, as we have many far better options in the vicinity.
