Very good low budget hotel. Rooms are clean, confortable, position is easy to reach from Essen. You only have common bathroom and shower, but they are clean and never crowded. If you are looking for a very low budget hotel, go for it.

Very basic hotel no staff apart from the cleaners. Comfy room, not bad at all.

The entrance is very big and wide open. A few flowers here and there and a big lounge in the back. My room was with a brownish carpet and a queensizedbed and a quite big bathroom and tub. Elevators provided.

A really basic hotel for a really basic price.
Free parking and free WiFi (though confusing to get it to work) are a plus. The rooms are tiny, with just enough space for two. Beds are OK, toilets and showers are shared and are clean enough. Personnel is not unfriendly, but also not very willing to assist. Apparently, we had to book breakfast the day before, it was not possible to make a reservation online. We didn't know this, so there was no breakfast for us. There are vending machines though, offering a good assortment for a reasonable price.
The surroundings are a bit shady, it is not Bochum's best neighbourhood. Some noise can be heard at night coming from the streets or from people drinking and smoking outside.
This place is good for a very cheap one night stay, not for real comfort. If you are travelling with children, you'd better stay somewhere else.
