Solid bistro style place with fast service and 7/10 food. It’s popular with the locals and have hosted the likes of Tom Cruise and Johnny Depp (apparently - not verified). The food is good without being great but it comes out fast and is reasonably well presented. I think you will find better food, but it’s a cool vibe and in a great spot. If I could I would have rated the place 3.5/5.

Is the food really sensational? No! Is it good? Well, it's very good.
That's a bit of the thing with Borchardt, the ambiance, the good company, the friendly (smart & intelligent) waiters/staff, it all makes the place and the food very enjoyable. The bouillabaisse is often a tat too salt (just a bit, i might have a sensitive pallet) The Wiener schnitzel makes such an entrance, you simply can't complain about it (but it's not the best in town) And you know what this is one place where it also doesn't have to be. Borchardt is a great restaurant where the company your with and the staff that works there adds that little oomph that makes the food taste better that just good. Love this place!
Side note!
The only thing is? They should forbid smoking in the garden area too. And on that note, people(!) just stop smoking already!!!!

You made us feel very welcome. What a fantastic day it was, remarkable atmosphere and food. We were all so impressed with the cost.

This is a fine dining experience that doesn't take itself too seriously. We had some excellent food and the service was always attentive. One of the key features of the restaurant is that celebrities and famous individuals go there for privacy as no pictures are allowed, and indeed whilst there I saw some very notable people. If you want a nice and potentially memorable experience I highly recommend! It comes with a price tag though, and whilst it's not extremely expensive you need to be willing to pay at least €75 a head, potentially more if you're drinking a lot.

Very good meat. A little bit too much dress up, but still good service. Nice ambiance, but too many tables for a romantic dinner. Why is everybody eating schnitzels at a french restaurant?
