To start off, I would like to mention that prior to Voila salon I had been trying out different hair salons in Kitchener, Waterloo and Guelph, with little luck. About a year ago I went to Voila salon uptown Waterloo for the first time. My experience there was wonderful from the start, and I have been coming back ever since.
The staff is extremely friendly and professional. They always make sure to greet the customers entering the salon and offer a beverage (which are seasonal and always tasty!). I also really enjoy the complimentary hand massage that is offered while I am getting my haircut, it just takes the whole experience to a new level.
However, the main reason I keep coming back here is my stylist Sarah, who is absolutely the best. She has amazing skills, is very attentive to my needs and her professional opinion is always on point. I loved every single haircut she has given me. I haven't worked with any of the other stylists at the salon but observing their work with other customers I believe that they are highly skilled as well.

This is the best salon I've ever been to, period. They offer tea, coffee, and delicious seasonal drinks. I asked for Lisa for a cut and colour and I couldn't be any happier with the results. I got exactly what I envisioned (a cut to give me more volume and the perfect shade of ash brown for my hair) and more. She was fun to talk to, always made sure I was comfortable and confirmed what I wanted done every step of the way. I highly recommend her and I'm sure the rest of the stylists are just as wonderful!

I've only had wonderful experiences here. When you walk in, you are always warmly welcomed by the amazing staff. Everyone who works there is very attentive, and kind, and want to make your time there enjoyable. I always get offered a complementary drink, which is always a treat. They pride themselves on being environmentally conscious, and use products that are natural, and have less impact the environment. The staff have great communication, and such a positive and good attitude about everything. They are also very open about there pricing, and will give you a breakdown of how much certain things will cost, and other options if need be. They will never make you feel embarrassed about asking.
My particular favorite, is Lisa.
She is an incredible person, and she has amazing skills. She is always clear, and straightforward, and the result is always spectacular. When you talk to her, it feels very natural. He head massages are also out of this world. My best friend and I have been going to Lisa for years now, and we have never had anything less than amazing.
Lisa will be my forever stylist, but with such a strong team of stylists? I wouldn't hesitate to go to someone else either. I admire how much they act together as a team, to assure there clients are more than satisfied.
Pros: Strong Team environment, beautiful and comfortable atmosphere, skilled and professional stylists, environmentally friendly products, and you always leave beautiful.
Cons: You wont want to leave :)

Okay so probably the best hair cut I've received ever. Emily was my stylist. She welcomed me with iced tea, took me on a tour of the salon and explained all their lovely services. She's very knowledgeable about different hair types. I have thick hair and wanted to reduce the heaviness and dead ends of the bottom. She completely understood what I wanted! 💇 I'm very happy with the results. The haircut also happened during a complimentary hand massage and there was a head massage during the wash as well 💆. Definitely go here, the service is phenomenal. I was in and out in an hour.

Yesterday was my first appointment. I was just getting a haircut and no colour. I met with Sarah who took the time to find out what I had in mind and what her thoughts were. I gave her full control of my hair.
First she shampooed and I enjoyed a nice head massage! Then, while she was cutting my hair, I received a complimentary hand massage! I had never had this at any other salon before! I was very impressed!
One thing that impressed my was that Sarah also did some cutting of my hair DRY and NO THINNING SHEARS; I have wavy hair and this is a bonus for me!! Sarah actually CUT my hair and it feels amazing!!
After my haircut, Sarah walked me to the front where she treated me to a complimentary makeup touch-up! She gave me a little tour of their Beauty Bar and a coupon for my next visit!
I explained to them that I was on a student budget and I was not pressured AT ALL to do colour, highlights or any other treatment which I really appreciated.
I highly recommend this location to anyone and everyone! The staff was professional and friendly from beginning to end!
