Great curry, great servicd (14.10.2017 12:46)
We visited here in the early afternoon mid week, so everything was really quiet. Nevertheless there were plenty of laces to choose from and we went here because we weren’t being touted. Great offer on lunch (starter, main and rice or naan for about a tenner) and really tasty. Service was great, nothing too much trouble. The only real issue was that the place felt so big and empty but that may well change in the evenings.

Arrived at 7pm and was tempted in by the smooth-talking guy at the door. But it was a lively and fun venue, with great food. After about 1 hour and a quarter we had just about finished our food and were in the process of finishing our beers when a guy we hadn't seen before tells us to hurry up because the table was booked. This was followed up by another guy trying to give us the hurry up.

There's also a potentially illegal activity here. The restaurant is not licensed to serve alcohol, it's BYOB, but they will take money to get alcohol for you. That's technically a sale, for which they aren't licensed.

Just got back from Brick Lane after having a curry at Aladin with our friends. We brought our own beer which is a real boon in my eyes as it saves you money.
My husband and our friend had the Tandoori King Prawn Blast which won a Chefs Award. Amazing flavours, really unusual, not too hot and full of flavour. My friend and I had the Non Vegetarian Thali which was a huge amount of food. It included naan, raita, two lamb samosas, pilau rice, lamb bhuna, chicken tikka masala and tandoori chicken. All beautifully cooked and every single dish was full of flavour.
The service was amazing. This was my third visit and I've never been disappointed. Just read some other reviews and not really sure what they are talking about. I've never had a bad meal here. It was 5pm on a Saturday afternoon and packed out.
All on all a wonderful meal in a lovely restaurant. Great service from Bodz and Hafiz. We will be back.

saw online it was voted as best in London so thought that was recommendation enough.
big mistake!
took a couple of friends who were visiting from the States, Staff not particularly friendly.
The guy who took our order was very pushy
I ordered a king prawn dish that was tasteless, the prawns were chewy and not very hot.
All the side dishes were sugary and luke warm
We were told by the waiter after our meal that the table was booked for other guests.
bad experience

The food is flavoursome. The menu huge with a variety of main courses and a huge selection of vegetarian dishes (my fav!). The service is second to none with funny attentive staff.

Great Brick Lane venue. Food is exceptionally tasty plus great service - rare combination for a brick lane curry house. Very good place for a group booking. Highly recommended. Great value’.
