A good little hostel, we finished off our two week trip here and had a good experience. The rooms are outdated, but clean enough. Come expecting to stay at a hostel and you wont let yourself in for a surprise. we had good wifi, and hot showers. they provided towels for us when we requested them. We noticed that there were a lot of backpackers here, some visiting for the first time, and others coming back year after year.

Great value for money, best choice for low budget travelers in the area. Free Internet! They also offer taxi service to the airport at a reasonable price.

This what you would describe as your money's worth at 250 for single beds and 350 for double it's really cheap so don't expect anything fancy.

Alright, tame your expectations. For the equivalent of $10 USD (230 ETB), you can get a room for two and a private wet bathroom. Sure the water pressure is inconsistent and sometimes nonexistent, and sometimes you have to argue with the grouchy guard to let you in after hours, but having stayed here heaps, I've never had a problem with security or sanitation. The service staff here are wonderful, the linens and rooms are clean, with no evidence of bed bugs or fleas, beds are usually fairly comfortable and the indoor singles rooms are of adequate size for two. Additionally, the double rooms (350 ETB) can fit a third person for an additional 100 ETB. The double rooms are often quite well sized, as such I wouldn't recommend the 400 birr doubles as you don't get that much more in comfort. That being said, there is a singles room I am aware of that is terrible. It's located outside and is kind of in a slight corner, being wedge shaped. Avoid this room. It is no good. Mosquitos everywhere. Nightmare material...

Anyway! Highly recommend Baro for a cheap stay in Piassa, a neighbourhood with good connections to practically every suburb of Addis.

Nice place to stay in addis, the price is a bit expensive in comparison to the rest of Ethiopia but yet reasonable. The best thing in this place is the backpackers that come over this place so you can share experiences. Hot water and good wifi ! Which are very important
